Yet Somehow, My Heart Knows You

Ya Rasulullah ﷺ

I never saw your face,
I never heard your voice,
and I never had the honour of walking beside you.

Yet somehow, my heart knows you.

I know of the tears you shed for an Ummah you had not yet met.
I know of the love and mercy you carried for people who would only come generations after you.

And among those people… was me.

Sometimes, I wonder:
What have I done to deserve a Prophet like you?

A Prophet who remembered his Ummah in his prayers.
A Prophet who endured hardship so that the message of Islam could reach our hearts today.
A Prophet whose beautiful character continues to guide us, even though more than fourteen centuries have passed.

Ya Rasulullah ﷺ, I may never be able to repay the love you had for your Ummah. But I pray that I can live my life following the path you showed us — with kindness, mercy, patience, and love for Allah.

Though my eyes have never seen you,
my heart longs for the day it can.

May Allah gather us with you in Jannatul Firdaus.

Sallallahu ‘alayka wa sallam, Ya Habiballah
