Wake up, it’s 4am. Something inside me whispers of my exhaustion, but I push it away and force my way out of bed, to speak to Him, my only friend. In the most sacred hours of the night, it’s just me and Him. I thank Him for being able to wake up again, for another chance to live, to make up for the sins of yesterday. After all that He has given me, the ability to see, hear, smell, taste, move, breathe. I’m about to start my day in this dunya, with each step resulting in confusion, pain, terror and agony. Yet, I still dedicate most of my hours in a day to it. This dunya is a prison that we are constantly trapped in. Humans find endless ways to find freedom and serenity in this prison, we spend our lives seeking happiness, when the answer is Allah swt. So I cry to Him, in neediness of Him.
It’s Friday, renew your intentions, remove the dirt in your heart and turn to Him. He is always waiting for you to talk to Him, He will always be there for you even when no one else will. He is closer to you than your jugular vein, He loves you more than you love yourself. So start & end your day with Remembrance of Him-
-The majesty of The Worlds, my best Friend, my Love.
Al-Zubayr report Nabi (s.a.w) said “Whoever would love to be pleased with His record, let him increase seeking forgiveness in it”
OUR PURPOSE IS TO CONSTANTLY SEEK KNOWLEDGE, THE MORE WE LEARN ABOUT HIM, THE CLOSER WE GET TO HIM. WHEN THE WAYS OF THE WORLD HAVE DIRTIED OUR HEARTS, WE FIND GUIDANCE IN HIS KNOWLEDGE.
We purify our hearts when we start to practice what we’ve learnt, we start to practice His ways instead; the ways of the Truth. One of the practices to be done is constant Istighfar. No matter how much you’ve sinned, no matter how broken you think you are, always turn back to him. He is waiting for you to call Him to fix you, He is the ultimate cure to every disease that lies in your heart.
2 Types of knowledge:
Knowledge comes by learning consistently. As the saying goes, “Consistency is key”
Practice the knowledge. By practicing it, you’ve gained extended knowledge which will increase your understanding of it.
Remind yourself: don’t just be a blind learner. To truly seek His path, ask Him for the knowledge and guidance to understand them. Strive to be a true seeker of Truth; one who has distinguished Taqwa and is in service of the practices.
Al-Wujud: Existence
He is the source, the Origin.
Understand that nothing can exist before Allah swt, and nothing can exist without Him. Our entire life is the very proof of His existence. Everything that happened in our life, from simply moving our limbs, or having some designated career, everything was decided and came from Allah swt. Every fiber of our being, from the tiny little cells to the functioning organs, everything came from Allah swt. Our “identity” was non-existent until He created us, so that we may find ourselves realizing Him in the process. So we can begin our journey of finding companions, finding a soulmate, finding Him. Like a hidden treasure, He wanted to be known and He granted us this honor. We need to realize this through the consistency of zikr – from reciting the words repeatedly, we will come to understand the meaning of the prayers we’ve been reciting; that everything came from Him.
The Great Allah, The Amazing Allah! It is our duty to pray to Him to thank Him for His Mercy and His Power to create existences. Never forget Him, and put emotions into our prayers as we proclaim our love for Him.
So please help me to exist, ya Allah. I’m a broken mess, disappointed and destroyed by dunya, please save me from myself.
Al-Qidam: Eternity without a Beginning
Everyone of us has an end and a beginning. As we always see, the continuous cycle of birth and death. It has been promised that we will all die one day, and this dunya will eventually come to an end. Only He remains. Allah does not have a start, nor does He have an end. He is the only eternal being to exist.
Solat Fardhu Guide pg 22 Additional notes:
Getting rid of impurities (major) :
- 3 ways to use water and soil:
- Wash together (water & soil)
- Wash with water, then soil
- Wash with soil, then water
Rules of Istinja’:
Obligatory to perform for every najis that is wet
Sunnah for najis that is hard and dry as long as it does not spread or transgress
Additionally, don’t forget to clean our hearts. If we keep our hearts dirty, filled with transgresses and sins of dunya, our zikr will be blocked, our prayers will be blocked, and our heart will harden. Remove the 7 najis of the heart, before it’s too late.
Islam is not as complicated as the world makes it look. The more we learn about it, the more we realize that it’s here to guide us, to facilitate us and tell us the best way to live our lives.
Only Allah knows best, and everything came from His love.
