For I wonder, how can this tongue not offer its praise?

To the best of creation, the light of our days.

You taught us that charity lives in a smile,

A sunnah of warmth that transcends every mile.

You carved out the part of your thobe where it slept,

So the peace of the slumbering cat could be kept.

When the neighbor threw clutter, you walked on in peace,

And checked on their health when the throwing had ceased.

Through the trials of Taif, so firm you remained,

A fortress of patience, by Allah ordained.

A beacon of strength, you responded with grace,

And prayed for the guidance of all in that place.

What mind can encompass such  mercy? The mercy of Allah in its grandest decree.

In the depths of the night, while the world was asleep,

For our sake, for our guidance, your eyes used to weep.

Your heart always yearned for the ones yet unseen,

Your compassion was vast, like a valley serene.

When the mother bird came to complain of her grief,

Seeking your mercy to bring her relief,

For companions had taken the young from her nest,

You ordered them back so the mother could rest.

When the camel came weeping, its sorrow laid bare,

You reprimanded the owner, demanding his care.

After years of oppression, of hardship and pain,

You returned unto Makkah, with mercy to reign.

“No blame upon you,” was the mercy you gave,

A blanket of pardon to shelter and save.

How would I thank you, for all that you gave?

You stood in the night just to guide and to save.

I seek your forgiveness, Ya Allah, today,

If ever ungrateful I strayed from the way.

For Prophet Musa was willing to yield,

His rank for the mercy this Ummah revealed.

To be in this Ummah, where blessings unfold,

The greatest of favors that Allah bestowed.

Ya Rasullullah, the crown of the soul,

The mercy of Allah that makes our hearts whole.

Whenever we gather to learn of your way,

Abundant salawat upon you we pray.

To the best of creation, the highest of stations

We send salutations in reverence and love!Sallallahu ‘ala Muhammad, Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam!Sallallahu ‘ala Muhammad, Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam!
