Connecting with the Quran

I was at the stage where I’ve allowed the worldly matters to affect me more than it should. Whether it be work, lifestyle or the people around me, I began to question a lot of how my life is instead of trusting Allah s.w.t plans.

But after being down for so long, I needed to do something.

That’s when I seek for guidance from Allah s.w.t, especially on the day of Arafah because I had the belief of the miracles it brings.

I knew I wasn’t well-versed in reciting the Quran and the understanding of the surahs, but after this day it opened my heart into rediscovering and learning about the Quran again and put an effort into trying to get fluent at it.

While It’s still early days since that happened, having the blessing and opportunity to consume Islamic knowledge and recitations even when I’m starting from scratch has brought wonders to my life.

From calming my nerves in how I approach things, to having more patience and trust that everything was meant to be. It will all work out if I put in time and effort to strengthen my connection with Allah s.w.t

That’s when I’m being more mindful too in how I balance my time and reduce bad habits that will disturb my peace.

While not everything is perfect and I’m still being tested every now and then, I began to surrender to Allah s.w.t more often than not. To one of the comforting verses that I’m always reminded of.

“Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear.”

Quran 2:286

Surprisingly, as I consume more Quran knowledge and start learning again, I find myself enjoying my passion and love for my job and craft too. So, I find it such a blessing to be able to love what I do to earn in my living and start infusing more of the faith in Islam.

It can get really tough, but it is never too late to start anything. This path has new obstacles to set me back and challenge me, but it’s only a matter of time till I get to witness more miracles of what Quran can bring to my life Insha’Allah.

I’ve so much to learn still.

Alhamdulillah for this opportunity to do better.
