Assalāmu ʿalayka wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuhu, yā Rasūlallāh ﷺ.

Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Sayyidinā Muḥammad.

O Messenger of Allah ﷺ,

I sometimes feel that I am not worthy of being among your ummah. Yet I thank Allah for allowing your message to reach me, generations after you, preserved and carried safely until it reached people like me.

Thank you, yā Rasūlallāh ﷺ, for everything you endured to bring this message to us. You went through pain, hunger, rejection, persecution and loss, yet you continued to call people towards Allah.

Whenever I watch videos or read about the trials and tribulations you faced, I weep.

I think about the three-year boycott of Banū Hāshim, when you and your family endured hunger and hardship simply because you refused to abandon the truth.

I think about Ṭā’if, when you were rejected and stoned until your blessed body was wounded and bleeding. Yet when you were given the opportunity to have them destroyed, you did not choose vengeance. Instead, you hoped that from their descendants would come people who would worship Allah.

What kind of mercy is this?

You were harmed by people, yet you wished guidance for them.

You were rejected by people, yet you continued to love and guide them.

You carried a message that would eventually reach people you would never meet — people like me.

And I cannot imagine what it would have been like to live in your time, to hear your voice, to see your face, to pray behind you, or simply to sit in your presence.

I can only hope that Allah allows me to meet you one day.

Ya Allah, make me worthy of being among the ummah of Your beloved Messenger ﷺ. Forgive my shortcomings, allow me to follow his Sunnah sincerely, and gather me with him on the Day when we will need his intercession most.

You will always be the best of creation, yā Rasūlallāh ﷺ.

I cannot wait to meet you, in shā’ Allāh.

May Allah grant you al-Maqām al-Maḥmūd, the Praised Station, and may He grant us the honour of being among those who are gathered with you.

Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim wa bārik ʿalā Sayyidinā Muḥammad, wa ʿalā āli Sayyidinā Muḥammad.

Yā Rasūlallāh ﷺ, until we meet.
