I am but a deep shadow,
stretching beyond your light,
yet our Rabb adores even your softest shadow.
And so, because of you,
I’ve been made a lover.
A blindfolded beggar
drinking the muffled streaks of your nūr,
like raindrops caught in a desert’s mouth.
