When The Soul Travels

This Ramadan, I had the beautiful blessing of spending the last 10 days in Penang — and what an experience it was.

At my age, I’ve been through a few Ramadans, but this one touched my soul in a different way. Being away from home, fasting while traveling, and stepping out of my usual routine came with its own set of challenges.

But Alhamdulillah, through those challenges, Allah SWT surrounded me with ease, beauty, and countless moments of reflection.

What truly moved me during this trip was being in the company of the younger generation. I listened to them speak and share their thoughts, and I was honestly blown away.

Their clarity, positivity, and sincerity amazed me. They had such sharp minds and big hearts — always helping each other, working together, and carrying such strong mannerisms. Watching them reminded me that we never stop learning.

Their energy inspired me deeply and gave me renewed hope for our ummah (community).

I am also incredibly grateful to Allah SWT for blessing me with Ustaz Sameer during this journey.

Through his gentle guidance and wisdom, I was showered with knowledge and reminders that reached my heart. Every session, every conversation, felt like a gift.

I can’t thank Allah SWT enough for placing me in that space of learning and spiritual growth.

To the amazing team who organized the trip — may Allah SWT reward you abundantly. Your hard work, your planning, and your care made everything run smoothly and beautifully. I truly appreciated every detail, even the ones we didn’t see but could feel.

And finally, to all the sisters — thank you for welcoming me so warmly. You treated me like your own, and that love will stay with me for a long time.

Your kindness and character left a mark on my heart.

This trip reminded me that we are never too old to be inspired, to connect, and to grow.

May Allah SWT continue to guide us all, and may we meet again in gatherings of knowledge, love, and remembrance.
