The Borrowed Gifts of Existence
The Quranic connection extends past ordinary reading because it grants readers a special divine blessing.
Every moment of interaction shows Allah’s mercy because our every talent functions as a borrowed blessing from Him which reveals our spiritual path.
Life: The Primary Gift
The first step to reading the Quran requires us to understand the basic miracle of life. Our existence functions as a “trust” (amanah) which Allah has entrusted to us. The initial blessing of hayat (life) stands as the essential requirement which enables any connection with the divine scripture. Our existence depends on the Most Merciful who grants us every breath to discover His truth through His sacred words.
Knowledge: Illuminating Understanding
The ability to understand the Quran emerges from Allah who grants ilm (knowledge) to people. Allah, the All-Knowing, provides us with the capacity to understand His words. The knowledge exists in its perfect and complete form within His essence but our comprehension stays limited because of His grace.
Will: The Choice to Connect
The iradah (will) to engage with the Quran is itself a gift from Allah. The divine text does not reach us through our free will because Allah decides who receives His guidance. The Divine granted us free will which lets us decide to follow the path of guidance.
Power: Turning Pages, Turning Hearts
Our qudrah (power) to physically interact with the Quran – turning pages, holding the book, maintaining focus – is a continuous stream of divine support. Agree that we exist as independent entities because Allah grants us His enabling grace. Every movement shows His ongoing support.
Sight: Witnessing Divine Guidance
The power to observe the Quran remains a sacred gift from Allah to us. The gift of sight functions as a trust which permits us to observe Allah’s signs. The Quranic text requires a special ability which comes from Divine power to help us discover spiritual truths that exist beyond written words.
Hearing: Receiving Divine Wisdom
Our sama’a (hearing) transforms the Quranic recitation from mere sounds to meaningful guidance. The words would have sounded like meaningless noise without Allah’s intervention. The ability to hear plays a vital role in learning and communication and spiritual connection because it enables us to hear divine messages.
Speech: Reciting with Divine Inspiration
The ability to recite the Quran through kalam speech represents a special gift which distinguishes humans from other beings. Allah grants us the ability to speak divine words through an ongoing blessing which does not come naturally. The language exists as a platform to express emotions and exchange information and perform religious rituals.
Oneness in Actions (Tauhid-e Fae’li)
All power ultimately resides with Allah. He is the sole source of ability and the Creator of actions.
Allah enables all human actions including breathing and moving and speaking by creating both the power to act and the action itself. He is the prime initiator and sustainer of all phenomena.
The knowledge requires people to stay accountable for their actions. Allah allows us to make our own decisions by giving us the ability to choose. We carry accountability for our decisions which occur within the limits of Divine control.
Through this reflection, we approach Tauhid-e Faeli – understanding that all actions are ultimately from Allah. Our choice to read the Quran does not affect the way our actions develop because Allah controls every single outcome. Through our interaction we perform worship which shows our total need for Divine presence.
Attributing Everything to Allah (Tawheede Waswi)
Allah possesses perfect, complete, and flawless attributes (sifat kamilah). His knowledge, power, mercy, and wisdom are infinite and without any deficiency.
Our human nature exists as incomplete because we lack certain qualities and skills which we need to improve ourselves.
The journey demonstrates Tauhid-e Waswi because it shows that all our characteristics exist because Allah willed them into existence. The knowledge that our senses and abilities exist as borrowed gifts from Him helps us escape the trap of arrogance which leads us to develop sincere humility.
Conclusion: A Continuous Gratitude
The Quran connection requires more than reading words because it brings people into a divine relationship which makes each moment feel like a sacred gift. Allah sustains every attribute which includes life, knowledge, will, power, sight, hearing, and speech because He grants them as borrowed treasures.
Our recitation becomes more than a ritual; it transforms into a deep, conscious acknowledgment of our complete dependence on the Divine. The guidance from Allah reaches people through the vessels which serve as His method to show His direction.
Every time we move through the pages and speak the words and grasp their meaning we see the deep reality that we serve as His slaves and He grants us comfort as His present.
