Maghrib Velvet skies that wrap the horizon like a sphere
Blue, purple, orange and blue
Encasing us in a beautiful dome
Who knew
That I would sit
In your courtyard
Witnessing just how much Allah ﷻ loves you, Ya Rasulullah.
Because of that love He has for you
We too get to have a share in witnessing this beautiful creation.
I sat there
In your courtyard
Soaking it all in
Every sound, every sight, every breeze
Because of you, Ya Rasulullah,
I understood that it is not the words we speak that show true Ishq.
For I sat here
In your courtyard
Facing you
Tearing up
Under the velvet skies
Sharing every gratitude and love I have for you.
Without uttering a word.
