Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, brothers and sisters. Alhamdulilah. All praises be to Allah ﷻ and our beloved Prophet Muhammedﷺ .

I pray my reflection inspires you to draw closer to Allah ﷻ, our beloved Prophet Muhammedﷺ and Islam.

Assalamuaaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh ya Rasullulah ﷺ,

We send you our selawat with love. Jazakamullah khairan for your sacrifices.

We didn’t just go to visit the places where you struggled. You are alive in these places. You point to Allah ﷻ , and through you we see how all our Prophets and awliyah are within us showing us how much you loved and fought for us, directing our heart towards Yaqeen and Deen.

There is a light inside us.

This light is you, ﷺ, the light from which all creations’ light comes.

You are alive with us through this light.

With this light, we witness Allah ﷻ .

This light from you is from Allah, it  is reflected by creation.

That is how you are alive within us, and because of this, you and all Prophets, Sahabats and Anbiyah are alive.

We are already in Jannatul Firdaus.

This scene of earth is a tangible re-enactment of how we are already in Jannah. It’s the only way us, humans can catch a glimpse of your light.

When we walk on these blessed premises around Medina, Masjid Nabawi, we live out the past, present and future, practising how to worship Allah just like how you ﷺ, and our predecessors did.

We should be kissing the steps you once walked, ﷺ, and ponder how all this is mercy built upon mercy. Light upon mercy.

“The light of the Prophet ﷺ is the lamp of the universe; by it the secrets become known and the veils are lifted.”

How teachers soften our hearts

A week before Umrah, our Sheikh told us to be within this world, creation within this world but not of this world.

He emphasised that we are unable to see the goodness Allah ﷻ  has bestowed upon us.

Our reality is darkness. Our Sheikh’s words opened the barriers of our hearts, and his wisdom from Allah unlocked something inside. They broke through the hardened parts and crevices, like water, and some light finally got through.

Our hearts are impure, many of us cannot bear the pureness of this light. This is where our teachers step in.

They prepare us to die in ourselves before we die.

To become nothing and to inherit this light.

These teachers who have walked the path have inherited this wisdom and light, to help us witness and connect, to brighten the light within us, and to practise becoming citizens of heaven. To fight for our ummah and to become one.

For Allah is only One and His citizens and His servants are only one.
