Blood, Sweat and Tears [Uhud]

Let us not be among those who stained the call of our Prophet ﷺ by loving the meaningless and abandoning his call.

The great battleground of Uhud whispered hot air unto our faces. As if telling, come taste a bit of what our unparalleled predecessors of Uhud sacrificed for us so that we now recite the Shahadah & Talbiyah in air-conditioned coaches and trains.

They screamed La Ilaha IllaAllah and spilled blood for the Prophet’s call. Their stomachs growled in pain due to lack of food. Our stomachs hurt because of overindulgence.

Livers, intestines, nose and ears were mutilated and spewed upon to humiliate the Prophet ﷺ and his followers. Undefeated, they stood tall but unfortunately tasted the repercussions of disobeying the Prophet’s orders when the archers descended from Mount Rumah.

Come, at least bask in the dust at where these nobles walked with vigor and true chivalry so that our worldly hearts could understand what hearts were meant for.

Peace unto the Martyrs of Uhud. May Allah reward you on behalf of our nation.

Peace unto The Prophet’s beloved Uncle Sayyidina Hamza ibn Abdul Muttalib رضي الله عنه the Lion which roared fearlessly.

Peace unto Abdullah bin Jasht رضي الله عنه , the first of the commanders whose nose and ears were mutilated.

Peace unto Mus’ab bin Umair رضي الله عنه, the selfless flagbearer who would sacrifice his limbs than to let the standard of Islam fall to the ground.

Peace unto Hanzlah bin Abu Amer رضي الله عنه, the newly wed bridegroom who did not even hesitate to take his major bath at the call of the Prophet’s invitation and who was bathed by the angels eventually.

Ah, what Love!

What Faith!

Ya Rabb, allow us to glance upon what they glanced upon.

Remove our love for the temporal and fill it with You.

At this site, He ﷺ cried:

‘How can a people prosper who have stained their Prophet’s face with blood while he summoned them to their Lord!”

LET US NOT BE AMONG THOSE WHO STAINED THE CALL OF OUR PROPHET ﷺ BY LOVING THE MEANINGLESS AND ABANDONING HIS CALL.

Oh our Lord, we ask you through these nobles to have mercy upon us for we are absolutely not deserving of anything on our own accord.
